Oh ur right forgot about that, I didn't mess with it much LOL but yea it is more party heavy bc its classic zilart/prom but there's a lot u can do solo at the very beginning til like level 40 if u know where to go. So that's Def why I suggest it first if u don't wanna sub. But I do love my trusts 😔💜

The cons to horizon imo tho are the rearranged music tracks, it doesn't have the same vibe. And ofc there's some nice quality of life stuff in retail but it does shrink the world a little with fast travel etc

I feel the same tbh xiv rly grinded me down bc it was so repetitive and boring unless you did savage just to have teenagers scream at you for not playing jump rope right LOL ffxi horizon is a free private (classic+) server if u want to dip toes in and not jump into retail right away

I have always loved ffxi, been playing it for like 20 years on and off and it's having a bit of a resurgence lately. but I'm unsure your reasons for not liking xiv so I'm hesitant to suggest it but it IS about 100% completely different, xiv isn't my fav either

Until there is another shift in how media- art in particular- is platformed online, we have to work with what we have. Bluesky is messed up but that's not -our- fault. It's theirs. It took me 10 years to get to the follower count I have here back on Twitter, I'm not struggling through that again.

As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.
