It should be illegal to claim to speak for god.

Owning property beyond a single residence or business should be restricted, especially a second home in a prime location that'll sit empty for most the year. Acres of private land "just because" should just be public land.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I might as well join in on the fun.

Did a little 4 mile loop hike at the base of the mountains here last week. I took my macro lens hoping to find some interesting things to shoot along the way. There's a little pond after the initial climb but I was immediately turned away after getting way too close to a big moose.

Had the doodle itch last night after work so I fired up Rebelle 7 and played with customizing some brushes before trying them out. I accidentally painted on the same layer as the ink and they ran together but I ended up really liking the look.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it, so I recorded the official White House site myself. This man is a historic disgrace to everything we pretend to hold dear.

Fleetwood Mac has been my favorite band since forever, and this album being released seemingly out of the blue (I had heard of it but never could listen to it) was definitely a highlight of September.

It's a real toss-up whether what's been said at the "memorial" is actually worse than what Kirk used to say before his encounter with the 2nd Amendment.

Highlight of my birthday so far was getting to hawk-tua on the little makeshift memorial to a certain late hate monger downtown.

As someone with kids in school who drill for and think about and have fears of a certain Event that happens way too frequently in America and claims the lives of their peers:

Thoughts and Prayers, Motherfucker.

Law matters now more than ever. Don't just throw up your hands, admit defeat, and say the law now has no meaning. That's exactly what fascism wants you to think.

Instead of trying to hang onto hope, ask yourself: What is my role and responsibility in all this?
This week’s premium episode is a mailbag, where we take a few listener questions and respond with long rants.

Carrot Top Stock, from Love and Lemons. What I imagine the smell would be if you walked into a furry-world Nordstroms to the rabbit perfume section.

Really testing my almost 45 year old heart with coffee, Sudafed, anemia, and a long and stressful and exhausting day at work.

I've always been fascinated by lichens and love taking photos of them. This one from my trip to Utah last week is probably my favorite so far.

Apologies to an old friend for yet more lichens (you know who you are!).

One of my long time patients, a little old lady with tremors and a walker, told me she was declared dead by Social Security, and her Medicare and income were immediately terminated. Now she's left to appeal her existence in person God knows where by appointment.
These sick fuckers better be hanged.

For Earth Day: some of my favorite local photos from recent years. We are a part of Earth as much as the mountains, plants, and animals. I think we tend to see ourselves as separate and then try to draw a connection back to the natural. It's much more simple than that. We are, everything, the same.
