We must have been impacted by a rolling strike or something because we got no mail for a few weeks and then this week I received not one but TWO fine publications with my poetry between the covers. 🥳 That feeling, when I find my name in the table of contents, never gets old!

Even though I'm Jewish (culturally and ethnically, not religiously) I LOVE Christmas and holiday fairs and the festive season. I am SO. EXCITED. that Victoria's Poet Laureate @byallmeanswrite.bsky.social has created this Winter Poetry Fair!!! I didn't even know this was missing from my life!!

This week's Great British Bake Off #technicalbake - orange cardamom steamed puddings! Very tasty, although I had almost none of the required equipment. Yum ☺️ #baking #gbbo

refuse to hustle, to be hurried, to be rushed, to decide, coerced, to be persuaded against your gut feelings—will be snail, morning slug on window, slow spider, dream sloth covered in moss, pregnant and uncomfortable pause, delay, the biggest and slowest breath in and out. it can all wait, darling.

This week's Great British Bake Off #technicalbake - raspberry souffles! My first time making souffles. I shouldn't have put the tuile cookies on top - it caused the souffles to start sinking immediately! Otherwise, I'd call this a fairly successful bake. #baking #gbbo

Two good things happened yesterday. 1. Nash, the Russell Books shipper, came back from her vacation (I missed her so much!) and 2. She brought in the first batch of Russell Books stickers, which she designed right before she left!!! Featuring the cutest bookstore dog in the world.

an Indigenous Peoples Day reminder that borders are bullshit and every Indigenous person from across the Americas deserves to be in the US more than every person of European origin

fuck borders, fuck ICE, land back.

Nobody's more shocked than me that this week's Great British Bake Off #technicalbake turned out basically exactly the way it was supposed to! I was EXTREMELY skeptical about this one, but it's actually quite tasty. My first time making hot water crust - I like it!

I really liked this book. It articulates things I've sensed and struggled to understand about how the world has changed in the last few years.

this week during prime day sales take a moment and think about what you need, how quickly you need it, and where you might be able to get it in your community! It’s surprisingly easy to boycott the crummiest company on earth and there’s no shortage of great reasons to try start trying

I forgot to post last week's #technicalbake - a not entirely successful white chocolate mango and passionfruit tart. Here you go. #baking #gbbo
