It's kind of wild thinking just how many spin-offs Resident Evil got back in the day. This one was developed by Cavia so it's not without some jank, but I always enjoyed the games they put out.

Even Bullet Witch. *Especially* Bullet Witch.

Anyone dedicated enough to preserve our history is a hero in my books.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I think I need to replay NOLF 2 again myself, remind myself of those memories.

I actually played the second one before the first. The original Blood is my quintessential Monolith classic, but NOLF 2 and Shogo complete my trifecta of certified bangers.

One of the things about NOLF 2 I distinctly remember is its strong art direction. I have these memories of seeing the Japanese village for the first time and thinking "this looks stunning". A real showcase for their tech.

Me too! It was a great time to be a PC gamer, every publisher had their own "classics" line and I got to experience so many different games as a result.

I genuinely hate it when corporate apathy gets in the way of people earnestly wanting to work on a project. I sincerely hope that Netflix acquiring Monolith's assets gives the folks at Nightdive some new opportunities to finally start making progress on that front.

There is! The sequel in Europe dropped Pangya from the title for whatever reason, but it's still the same game and is a part of my collection.

The PSP version never released in Europe and Everybody's Golf pretty much dominated my portable golfing sessions, so regrettably I don't own that one...

Never heard of it before (and I thought I'd heard of a lot of obscure games), but "German developed PAL exclusive action RPG" sounds exactly like my kind of jam.

Sure, here you go. I'd be surprised if it wasn't from the same batch of discs that went to North America as I imagine the product codes are identical, but I'm always curious about unique variations on game releases myself.

I have a bunch of localised D3 Publisher Simple games that 505 Games put out back in the day and I unironically adore all of them. My local Music Zone (not aging myself here...) always had them in stock and I distinctly remember making regular trips to seek out new treats.

Oh man, was that yesterday? I haven't kept up with the Sonic con stuff since before COVID. I'll have to keep my eyes out for the next one, hopefully they can pick somewhere more... "not London".
