Instead of confusion and fear, you felt... comfortable? Relaxed, even? It must be the bit in your mouth, enchanted to calm down the wearer.

You cry out, yet are only able to vocalize a confused "W-wark?!" That bit, now becoming snug in your mouth with your new beak, the bridle adjusting itself to a comfortable fit.

It's hard to stand, so you settle down onto your new haunches till your head stops spinning...

You try to remove it, but the magic has taken hold and it binds to you, the bit growing warm in your mouth. Golden down sprouts across your chest, across your whole body, your fingers becoming wingtips, your arms wings with beautiful plumage.

Thinking about this again: It's not that it auto-equips itself, it fosters a growing curiosity to try equipping it the longer it sits in your bag.

Null bulges aren't only a thing for subs. Sometimes a particularly dominant avali likes to null himself to extend the fun times with whatever unfortunate drone has caught his interest.
Better hope he doesnt add a few more hours to his suit.
