SynaMax made another cool documentary! This is about arguably the first rhythm game ever: Jammin'.

I love Atari Games-era Atari... games, so this is a great capsule if you're into obscure Atari history.

So Atari's Jammin' prototype has been recovered from VAX tape backups by SynaMax, Dutchman2000. I've hooked it up in MAME, it runs on some kind of Donkey Kong kit hardware with extra YM2151.

Can anyone that works on #MiSTerFPGA get the Synamax Sinistar code working on the Robotron core? There is also new sound fixes to be implemented. The new code is rebalanced an implements ideas the original designers wanted, as well as a new shield function . archive.org/details/arca...

This documentary is great! Kudos to SynaMax for his incredible work to bring back all the discarded features of Sinistar. He went down the assembly language rabbit hole and made it his primary residence.

It also fills in a significant gap in the history of Williams video engineering after the Vid Kidz went out on their own but before the crash. Synamax also got interviews with key players on the team. Just incredible stuff. And some Star Rider thrown on the end for good fun.

patreon.com/synamax I hate asking for help. But if you're able to, please consider becoming a supporter. Been living paycheck to paycheck for over 5 years now. Keeping up with grocery and bills, while trying to save up money for future artistic projects has been very difficult. Thanks in advance

Finally, the big one: I made a feature-length video celebrating the Metroid series and its history. It was a huge six-month project featuring 17 interviews, and music by Synamax and Metroid Metal. I'm really proud of it, and grateful to the folks who contributed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aig-...

If Metroid Dread's recent 2nd anniversary has you in a Metroidy mood this week, check out the Metroid documentary I published earlier this year! It features interviews with game devs, journalists, YouTubers, and more. Plus music by Synamax and Metroid Metal! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aig-...

SynaMax is in a very tough housing and transportation situation and could really use some help. He's done great work as an audio detective and reconstructioner.

Here's a way to show your support if you've enjoyed his Metroid-style tracks or the recent Sinistar documentary.

My online contact, SynaMax, did a video on how he restored the soundcode to Sinistar. It was recently seen by Sam Dicker! This is huge!

For those who don't know Dicker was part of the design team of both Sinistar and Defender!
