Do you have any links? I am interested. I have some limitations looking into this myself, as I do not speak Amharic.

And we’d have to accentuate that with a fantastic necklace . Ooh can you imagine if we could work in something embroidered in Amharic ?

I love listening to people speak Amharic

I'm obviously biased 💀 but I think it's a beautiful language

You know what other language shares vocabulary with Arabic? Amharic. But nobody is accusing them of stealing words. Because they didn’t. They’re closely related languages based on 3-consonant radicals. The same radicals have very similar meanings in all of them. Because they’re Semitic.

Is that even supposed to be Amharic? Because it doesn't look like it. If anything it looks lige Cherokee or Gujarati of something
January 1, 2026 at 4:26 PM
I don’t even think they’re actual Amharic letters, they look like a caricature or mishmash of random symbols. Just for public education purposes: Somali is generally written using the Latin alphabet, like English.

The ALT text clarifies that it’s the mayor of Minneapolis supposedly speaking Somali, but those aren’t Somali words, they look like maybe a random string of Amharic characters? Because DHS is too racist to realize there’s more than one language in Africa

I crossed paths with some older ladies on a walk through the neighborhood and we started chatting. I spoke to them completely in Amharic to work on my skills.

At one point, feeling self-conscious, I told them I'm still learning Amharic. One of them immediately said "we can tell by your accent."

The lot of them need to grow up.
"Semitic people" is a historical linguistic term for groups speaking Semitic languages (like Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic, Amharic) from the Middle East and Horn of Africa, including ancient Assyrians, Babylonians, Phoenicians, and modern Arabs, Jews, and Ethiopians.

spin off of 'Dinka' tallest ethnic group in the world on average

redefined via Amharic as 'midget' instead of super skyscraper tallest folk on earth & or it's implied in Sociological shortness

as with lowercasing B in sociological Black typed out rhetoric

Shahnq
December 29, 2025 at 12:57 AM
whereas 'Dihnk'= 'midget' in Amharic is the opposite of

a West thru Central African ethnic group named 'Dinka' who are considered the TALLEST IN THE WORLD

thus, 'dihnk' is supposed to be an ironic term
December 29, 2025 at 12:57 AM
versus

'Dihnk' as an insensitive & outdated slur in Ge'ez derived Amharic

akin to USA English language 'midget'

instead of an accepted alternative term such as 'dwarf' & or 'little people' that aren't slurs
December 29, 2025 at 12:57 AM
or Shahnq

thus the Ge'ez derived Amharic language slur 'Shanq' is related to paralleling darker skinned folk to that different ethnic group from central Africa or some such that goes by a Shanqella adjacent name, if not Shanquella explicitly & or exactly
