Many people only voted labour because of their antihunting and anti-cull promises. This looks like labour lied to get into government.

This antihunting strategy sounds like a great idea. Since buying up bear hunting tags requires a hunting license, it'll force a lot of antihunters to learn about hunting, and since no bears are getting shot, there'll be more and more tags every year to buy up, meaning ever more conservation funding.

Let's regulate the real pest... Let's hunt the hunters !

Lion estimates are a circus when both hunting orgs and antihunting orgs try to be involved. If you combine the silliest "research" coming out of each side, you learn that there are less than 7,000 lions left in the world and that over 20,000 of them are in Tanzania.

What I constantly hear from hunters, and even those involved in hunting in Africa, is disdain for the "trophy hunting" term and annoyance whenever anyone uses it. A lot of thought goes into what else to call different kinds of hunting so as to not let antihunting interests control the discourse.

I have personally done this with deer; held them with me during #hunting season. I spoke to hunters & asked them not to kill the deer. They were respectful to me & stopped killing my deer friends.
