#Archeologysky
Bit of a niche question for niche people, but does anybody know of good books on the archeology of "Old Europe" (pre indo-european)?

I'm sorry why does this channel have the word sky in it. I've never seen a post include the sky. #archeologySky?

I must say the badgers 🦡 in the orchard are rather brilliant. In their efforts of creating a small subsidiary set near the hawthorn hedge, they unearthed a nice Neolithic decortication flake (they live close to the flint mines of Rijckholt-St.-Geertruid). I have now put in a request for a handaxe.

I often unwind by watching pretty much any docuseries on Egypt that I can find, so I AM SO STOKED FOR ALL THIS. Archeology rules!

#archeologysky
A British-Egyptian team has made one of the most significant Egyptian archeological finds in recent history: the tomb of pharaoh King Thutmose II, who ruled sometime between 2000 and 1001 BCE. This is the first tomb of a pharaoh unearthed since Tutankhamun’s in 1922.
Royal Tomb Of Egyptian King Thutmose II Unearthed
Finding the original tomb of the royal is one of the most significant developments in Egyptian archeology in recent history.

My goodness, that's cool. I like going to ArcheologySky, where people in our distant past can seem almost immediate, tangible.

I suggest you head over to the 'What's Cooking' or 'Travel Enthusiasts' or 'ArcheologySky' etc. etc. feeds. This is a diverse platform that hosts tons of great, non-political content if it is upsetting to you (which I can understand).

Is it possible that a meteor crater in the Arizona desert hold a clue to the peopling of the Americas? Or is it simply propoganda?

Great to hear! It's been so sad to see ArcheologySky, Plant Biology, many others drown in random unrelated posts.

hey archeologysky! (🏺)

i’m looking to get into underwater archeology, specifically during the golden age of piracy (~1650’s-1730’s)!

those who can answer:
1) what’s the demand for that kind’ve job, specifically with what i have in mind?
2) what requirements would i need to be successful?

There are a lot of great examples of how 'open feeds' fail in this regard, definitely worthy of note.

Archeologysky is one, where a simple "🏺" is used (plus some keywords). Now I don't know what that emoji means to Japanese users who use it, but they use it a lot, and not w/r/t archeology.

I love watching this channel. I grew up in the PNW. E. Wa & W. Idaho and while we didn't have areas quite this wild it’s vastly different from N. FL where I live now. I miss that wildness & its somewhat satisfying to live vicariously thru Andrew’s travels. #HistorySky #ArcheologySky

Okay BlueSky, I am stumped. This stone came from Petra tou Romiou and it’s a very odd rock. I have had a hard time learning anything about it or why it looks like this. (see thread for other photos). #WitchSky #GeologySky #ArcheologySky
