I guess anywhere within walking distance of the 43 route is actually really handy. Was defo the best thing about Benchill.

I was in Baguley which was (I think) one of the older bits of the estate. Friends who grew up there said it was bliss compared to the places they moved from. My old office site is a housing estate now.

(I think P was at Benchill Housing Office for a while).

Benchill was bleak. But it was close to Mr. S's work at the time.

🤔🧐.....Yes.

As someone whose parents still live a 10 min walk from Benchill tram stop and who spent hours at "Civic"/"The Forum" as a kid, and who did go off to study and work in the South East, i can imagine Wythy to Chiswick was a bit of a culture shock

Also, the sheer sprawling size of London

This lot were waiting to get to Benchill, in Wythenshawe in the rain - at least Manchester is consistent.
