I've seen the images and stories from Alligator Auschwitz, I've seen the satellite images of the CECOT killing grounds (a literal pool of bodies and blood). This is the end result for us all if we do not do more than simply relying on pen-on-paper laws. We must to better, we must get dirty.

Auschwitz was later. The first camps at Dachau and Marzhan were initially similar to conditions at Cecot, and many of the occupants were migrants like the Roma and Sinti. The Nazis claimed they were all criminals from birth.

Part of the challenge in recognizing CECOT and Alligator Auschwitz as death-camps-in-waiting is that we are numb to the cruel work camps we already had
Prison guards:
- Watched a woman experiencing psychosis gouge out her own eyeballs.
- Ignored a man’s beeping insulin pump for more than 24 hours before he died.
- Left a man sitting in his own feces not eating for weeks, he lost 60 lbs before he died.
All in San Diego County, last ~5 years.
