#Canadianfilm
A great day to see the #CanadianFilm 23 décembre | Two Days Before Christmas. The film was inspired by #LoveActually. This is a #Quebecois film so subtitles are an option. #Canada doesn't have too many #Christmas films and this is a nice one.

Some #CanadianFilm thoughts toward the end of the year. Pretendians at the source of telling Indigenous stories. Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon remaking a Quebecois farce. Celine Song's newest film. The switch in the Oscars from ABC to YouTube.

#YourTomorrow is intentionally subtle. The documentary reminds us that a destination such as Ontario Place would be great to have if it weren't being destroyed by the Doug Ford Government in Ontario. #CanadianFilm

Canadian film review: Your Tomorrow
Your Tomorrow is a documentary that has a few layers. Maybe not as many as baklava, more like lasagna. On the surface, the documentary is about Ontario Place in Toronto. We get a lovely tour of all…

The #Canadian entry didn't make the Oscars shortlist in the international film category. I've seen 6 of the 15 but not the #CanadianFilm. Canada got an animated short film nominee on the shortlist. Seen 4 of the documentaries, none Canadian.

Those Who Make Revolution Halfway Only Dig Their Own Graves is a long enough title for a #CanadianFilm. 183 minutes is a lot. Fictional accounts based from protesters. An important film more than for entertainment. Seeing a protest on ground level.

This is for all films, not just #CanadianFilm. Still want to see this film.
TFCA just gave Sophy Romvari's Blue Heron the year's Best First Feature prize, which is well-deserved, because it's actually the best first feature in several years, and probably next year, too

The White Fortress was good enough to make the TIFF Top 10 list for #CanadianFilm for 2021. Finding the film to review it was a lot harder. A nice coming of age story in post war Sarajevo. A lot of Canadian films don't look Canadian.

Canadian film review: The White Fortress
The White Fortress mentions Canada briefly but is really more of a glimpse in time of a post-war Sarajevo, Bosnia. This takes place after the 1990s war where a young man named Faruk (Pavle Čemeriki…

Even the lonely refuges of Canada have begun to speak louder than the cities. On prairie winds, in fishing communities, on the northern frontiers, independent film directors are narrating tales that seem to be sincere, gritty and very human. #CanadianFilm #Realism #Rural

Film remakes are usually lame by comparison. A film reimagining can breathe new life into an old story by offering a different perspective. #CanadianFilm

Too often in #CanadianContent, films that don't seem Canadian count as Canadian where obvious films aren't counted as Canadian. The CRTC took some baby steps. Curious if that will make much of an impact. #CanadianFilm #CanadianTV
