A great day to see the #CanadianFilm 23 décembre | Two Days Before Christmas. The film was inspired by #LoveActually. This is a #Quebecois film so subtitles are an option. #Canada doesn't have too many #Christmas films and this is a nice one.

The #Canadian entry didn't make the Oscars shortlist in the international film category. I've seen 6 of the 15 but not the #CanadianFilm. Canada got an animated short film nominee on the shortlist. Seen 4 of the documentaries, none Canadian.

TFCA just gave Sophy Romvari's Blue Heron the year's Best First Feature prize, which is well-deserved, because it's actually the best first feature in several years, and probably next year, too

The White Fortress was good enough to make the TIFF Top 10 list for #CanadianFilm for 2021. Finding the film to review it was a lot harder. A nice coming of age story in post war Sarajevo. A lot of Canadian films don't look Canadian.
