Grateful to earn the endorsement of Commissioner Joe Bishop-Henchman in Eckington! He's worked with me on holding agencies accountable and I appreciate his work for neighborhood public safety and more housing especially multifamily units. Thank you, Joe for your support in my race for Delegate!

Sheffield's Norton Water Tower today from close to Troway. (Troway Farm, between Coal Aston and Eckington, has an excellent weekend cafe and meat shop.)

ANCs and neighbors directly impacted by polluting entities in Eckington, Brentwood, and Ivy City all weighed in to voice their support for this legislation. I look forward to working with my colleauges to advance this measure as a priority for building healthy communities.

Highly recommend my PT, who runs his own practice in NoMa/Eckington. Tarik and my trainer coordinated on how I’d keep working out without reinjuring myself. www.backtolifeptdc.com

Things unlikely to happen today: the Dec 6th Eckington Works game was held up by a pitch invasion from a large, angry bullock. With the players running for the safety of the small stand, play was held up until the animal got bored, and wandered off.

Minor Cup. Eckington protested that Ike Turner was cup-tied and we won the re-arranged game 6-2. We won 1-0 at Milton Keynes in 2014, and again a few weeks later after Georg Margreitter was judged ineligible. Lastly, and legitimately, we won 2-0 at Rochdale in the 2016-17 Checkatrade Trophy.

The Spireites have played nine cup ties on December 6th and have lost only one - at home to Darlo in 1978. Ok, we've drawn five and won only 3, and two of those wins didn't count, but a win's a win! Our first win came via a 13-0 scoreline over Eckington Works Reserves in the 1890-1 Sheffield FA 1/2

I just don't think I made it a priority? Getting across the Ivy City railyard to Eckington is difficult and so I don't go except for specific intended destinations, connectivity with downtown is more reliable.

The streetcar line that ran up to Takoma Park was once intended to continue all the way up to Sandy Spring. It's wonderful to imagine what that might have been. (Washington Star, June 15, 1889)

My lyft home from a corporate event just went past my old house in Eckington and I think I just felt my heart break with how much I miss that place and coming home to real humans teasing me about my suits every night. I am not made for the corporate game.

Stocksbridge would be very doable as the track's still there. Could we even see Victoria rise again? Killamarsh would also be feasible, though not sure how much existing line/trackbed to Chesterfield there is beyond Eckington. A line to the airport would be a huge folly, however.
