Through the Festive RIDE season so far: Over 4800 driver interactions have occurred 16 three-day driver’s licence suspensions have been issued 3 people charged with impaired-related offences, including 2 novice drivers 2 suspended drivers charged 3 Highway Traffic Act-related charges, including failing to have a toddler in a car seat Since the launch of the Festive RIDEs, 53 drivers have been charged by our frontline officers, both during regular duties and during RIDE programs, with impaired-related offences.

Members of the Impaired Countermeasures Unit, MADD and Safer Roads Ottawa were in: Riverside South-Findlay Creek and Barrhaven wards on Thursday; Orleans-Navan and Gloucester-Southgate wards on Friday; and Somerset and Capital wards on Saturday. Through the Festive RIDE season so far: 3200 driver interactions have occurred 11 three-day driver’s licence suspensions have been issued 3 people charged with impaired-related offences 2 suspended drivers charged 2 drivers charged with having open alcohol while driving Since the launch of the Festive RIDEs, 37 drivers have been charged by our frontline officers, both during regular duties and during RIDE programs, with impaired-related offences.
