A few I’m thinking of… Sadao Hasegawa, Ishihara Gojin, Akihiro Yamada?
A Sagari, a horse head yokai, that I sculpted in 1988 while I was at the School of Visual Arts.
My brother Kurt took these photos in 2011.
It's Sculpey painted in acrylics, with a yak hair mane.
It was based on an illustration by Ishihara Gōjin from "The Illustrated Book of Japanese Monsters" 1972.

I think one of the most amusing aspects of Gekko Hayashi/Gojin Ishihara’s gay erotic artworks is that he considered himself heterosexual, but just really enjoyed illustrating men having very tender and passionate gay sex. Kind of incredible
