Now that the shop dialogues are done, I'm moving on to injecting serious Mass Effect energy with optional dialogues discussing a variety of topics with your party members / fellow grifters at the bar / home base.

It's way too early to be doing patch notes, but if I had to sum up my #Griftlands #ThreeForAll #modding progress today, it'd go something like:
- Added tone indicators to all vendors' dialogue
- Optimized Steven's emotes so that he looks less sad (he wasn't sad, just struggling to stay upright)

It took all month, but the first draft of all dialogue and functionality for all campaign shop vendors is now complete! It's set up so that even modded characters that use coins, blasters, or cannons can benefit!

I've played all three and really enjoyed them all. CC has an interesting mechanic where you combine decks. SQ is more story-driven, I like all of the Steamworld games. Wildfrost is cool too, interesting (and mean) replay mechanic.

I'd throw in Griftlands, Guild of Dungeoneering, and Roguebook.

This week's #ThreeForAll progress: Dialogue for Steven and Plocka is now first-draft complete (though in need of tweaking with tone indicators and emotes). Lots of variation is included since every route and run will be visiting multiple times!

Sometimes I check on the Slay the Spire Discord server to see if anyone's still talking about the Griftlands mod I made.

Its main legacy seems to be that when a new modder suggests "what if a character that self-damages and regens" everyone points at Smith / The Wastrel and screams "NO!!!"

I miss Griftlands a lot, but after 50 hours in 2024, I've managed to beat the game... twice?

I liked the game a lot in every department, but having no success made me burn out.

I guess I want some other form of media in the setting. It's so good.

At the very least, I was able to use the offline time to write some more dialogue for the Griftlands mod, mostly working on the introduction to the item and graft shop location, which plays out slightly differently depending on who's the lead character.

Every so often I test the Griftlands / Slay the Spire crossover mod I made just to make sure that the characters and cards are still working in the current environment... only to realize that I lost an hour because I finished a whole run. So yeah.
