sorry to some folks, but if we want games to be viewed as consequential art and not products - eventually game development at large is going to have to move past the realm of linkedin, forbes 30 under 30, how to market your game, professional business conference stuff and into something else.

I don't think it'll ever go as far as welcoming Canada as an EU member, but, it would be very funny if I was made a European again.
Canada has reached a final agreement to join the EU’s €150 billion Security Action for Europe program, becoming the first third country to take part in the bloc’s flagship joint procurement initiative.
Canada clinches deal to join Europe’s €150B defense scheme
The deal concludes months of tough talks and will allow Ottawa to take part in procurements financed by the EU’s SAFE program.

We have a new roadmap for For The King II landing in January, and we're happy to chat about bringing FTK2 back from a 47% Steam review score to 70% over two years.

Using my Con time from the weekend to take Friday off and have a bit of a break.

The plan consists of: Monster Hunter and lots of strong edibles, mostly.
Probably also grease, the food. Maybe the movie, too, only time will tell.

Even by the standards of anti-woke journalism this is lazy dreck. The first piece of "evidence" that older gamers are mad about wokeness is a random Reddit comment — that isn't a complaint about wokeness.

Hahaha, right?! Or what about mandatory disclosures for the discrepancy between the salaries of the CEO and their lowest paid worker? That would be so funny, right?! Let’s do it as a funny joke!!!

Vancouver Game Expo was great. Thanks to everyone who dropped by!

Biggest take away for me is that there’s an incredible amount of talent in this city going unused and someone with lots of money should do something about that.

Devs were only allowed a few (I believe two) tickets per nomination before Geoff charged them. Resale tickets were in the hundreds. And we all know what happened to Future Class (if you don’t, read my piece).

Genuinely though excited for this!

The original Let It Die was famous for its absolutely amazing soundtrack. Akira Yamaoka went and got in touch with a HUNDRED of his favourite indie bands and commissioned each to do a track named 'let it die'. The result was borderline mystical.

They're AI-generating the music here.

Fuck that.
The Let it Die sequel - Let it Die: Inferno - which is coming out next week (4th December), seems to have been built using a considerable amount of generative AI. https://bit.ly/4ol7lIA

To be explicit, we executed a German U-Boat commander who said he had to sink lifesaving gear / “inadvertently” kill survivors because it might give away his position, thereby potentially resulting in the loss of his submarine.

We executed multiple members of that crew.
Heinz-Wilhelm Eck might have something to say about this one.

I think the fact that most large political social media accounts in the US and Canada got revealed to be foreign influencers a week ago should be 24/7 news cycle and the fact that it isn’t is a sure fire sign of how fucked we are.

Like, Cambridge Analytica times two.
