Hyperodapedon - in het Trias was dit de meest succesvolle planteneter, met tanden als van een bever. Hij had, blijkt uit de fossielen een goed zicht- en reukvermogen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxOz...

Hyperodapedon most likely fell prey to Erpetosuchus's larger cousins Ornithosuchus, this bipedal Pseudosuchian is traditionally estimated to be 4 meters, but a study in 2016 revised it's length to be around 2.2 meters, the 4 meter length may have belonged to it's larger and indeterminate relative-

Hyperodapedon was much the same as the Pompeii victims, holes within the sandstone. PVC was used to cast the "bones" because essentially nothing else was left except the cavity of the bones. Its not 𝘵𝘩𝘦 fossil but a recreation of it using PVC.

i hope that when my old university finally axes the biology major i can somehow get around the loophole that prevents people from owning fossils and i can snatch that beautiful Hyperodapedon skeleton and properly clean and describe it

as mentioned previously, endothiodon's beak bears a resemblance to those of herbivorous archosauromorphs called rhynchosaurs, the best-known of which is hyperodapedon

Just a chonky beaky guy from the Triassic of Brazil @HarvardMNH

He’s labeled as Scaphonyx, but it looks like this material has been referred to Hyperodapedon. Either way, he’s an ancient relative of the living tuatara #FossilFriday 🧪 🦎

It would be very fun if i could identify the species of my hyperodapedon fossil, but with how poorly preserved it is, i doubt a novice like me could do it
