Confessions was a spin-off series based on a feature on Simon Mayo's Radio 1 show. 4 series totalling 38 episodes were shown on BBC 1 from 1 April 1995 to 1 July 1998. Simon Mayo introduces a series of entertainment shows developed from his popular Radio 1 slot. Each week he will extract confessions from an unsuspecting studio audience. The Confessors will bare their souls, and three contestants will reveal some of their darkest and funniest secrets. Bugs is a television drama that ran for four series from 1 April 1995 to 28 August 1999. A total of 40 episodes. The programme, a mixture of action, adventure and science fiction, involved a team of independent crime-fighting technology experts, who faced a variety of threats involving computers and other modern technology. It was originally broadcast on Saturday evenings on BBC 1, and was produced for the BBC by the independent production company Carnival Films. The cast included Jaye Griffiths, Jesse Birdsall, Craig McLachlan, Jan Harvey, Paula Hunt, Martin McDougall, Steven Houghton, Gareth Marks, Michael Grandage and Joseph May. American hospital drama Chicago Hope made its UK TV debut on BBC 1 on 1 April 1995. In total 6 series and a total of 141 episodes were made. The show starred Mandy Patinkin as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger, a hot-shot surgeon with emotional issues stemming from the psychiatric condition of his wife (played by Kim Greist), who drowned their infant son. Adam Arkin plays Dr. Aaron Shutt, a world-renowned neurosurgeon and Geiger's best friend. Thomas Gibson played Dr. Daniel Nyland, a promiscuous ER doctor and trauma surgeon who was later suspended due to his having an affair with a patient's family member and later was injured in a car crash. Dr. Keith Wilkes played by Rocky Carroll, often clashed with Nyland and was known for his back-to-basics and rough demeanor. He was good friends with Peter Berg's character, Dr. Billy Kronk. Kronk was known for his cowboyish demeanor and known to be very cocky, as showed in an episode where he cuts off a man's injured leg with a chainsaw in a scene where Kronk helps out at an accident site. Peter MacNicol, Alan Rosenberg, and Héctor Elizondo feature as the hospital's in-house attorneys and chief of staff, respectively. The cast includes Mandy Patinkin, Héctor Elizondo, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Barbara Hershey, Christine Lahti, Peter Berg, Mark Harmon, Thomas Gibson, Rocky Carroll, Adam Arkin, Lauren Holly, Jayne Brook and E G Marshall. A CBS production.
