Yeah but those aren't...cheap. Even then there's a reason more of that in season 2 and 3 than 1.
Season 1 had a lot of outdoors shooting and new build sets: Eminiar 7, the Starbase, the various planets....

Red Squad was formally disbanded, and whoever came up with the idea of elite units who stood apart from Starfleet’s esprit de corps was assigned to permanent latrine duty on Starbase 80.

The speed of construction has raised eyebrows, with suspicion that the Vestan military may have under-reported its stockpile of starbase spaceframes available for rapid deployment. Once fully operational, the new districts will be capable of supporting a sizable fleet.

Deluge testing at Starbase Pad 2 seems to be ramping up, as teams ran two separate tests, for the first time during later hours after the sun has set, with the second one being a extended test around the 60 second mark.
