#South-Ikea-Way
I hope so. I have to take my broken stuff back to Ikea, which is on the way south side of Denver. At least I have 365 days to return them?

How Canadian Laws and Institutions Sought to Erase Indigenous Peoples and Cultures
Annie Carpenter lies in an unmarked grave just south of a giant blue-and-yellow IKEA, directly off one of the busiest thoroughfares in North America, the Gardiner Expressway, part of the Queen Elizabeth Way, which cuts west and east across the city of Toronto. In a way, this side quest began with the pulled pork burger at iKEA.
That burger was so horribly wrong, such an example of the worst of modern industrial cuisine, it ruined my day (which is saying a lot in South Edmonton Common) that I have been trying non-industrial equivalents.

Given that my folks live in the south end of Upminster, the easiest way to get to Lakeside/IKEA/etc is to drive through Aveley and take Ship Lane, which thankfully means you miss most of the horror that is the A13-M25-A282 junction.

(and driving there pretty much got to be muscle memory)

Also totally indicted by this paragraph, both the aesthetic conceit and the way the last sentence is so damning right now: “in this room, everything could be cured by thinking.”

Yesterday was 40deg rain in South County, Rhode Island, but that didn't stop ~1000 #handsoff protesters from taking to the streets!

The best part was when a giant USPS mail truck drove through the intersection honking the whole way 🔥

I could do Hoboken and Jersey city. And Newark and like Paramus. And I think Elizabeth is near Newark but only because that’s where the one ikea in the area used to be back in the day. But honestly I’d probably put Newark way too far south.

You can sit in an Ikea on I25 south of Denver and watch the cars go by while you eat.

Way over half of the cars are Black, White, and Grey. "Influencer" backdrops/houses are also very white/grey.

I miss the days of old where color wasn't taxed out of existence or whatever happened.

The South East of England can be very slow to get around at times. Biggest problem of going to Reading is Reading, the one way system is not great. Not that I've been to the IKEA at least that's just off the M4 so quite easy to get to if you can be arsed to go there.

If you’re ever in DC, the best — and by far the most “normal” — bagel place is Bagels Etc near Dupont Circle. Run by a charming South Korean family, looks like none of the decor has changed since they opened it in 1991. A BEC is $4.79. Unbeatable.
