could not get over the amount of celebrities in random who-gives-a-shit-product ads i saw when i was in the states over thanksgiving. it’s like what used to be one-off high budget superbowl commercials has just become normal commercials and it feels phonier than ever
every time I see an A-list actor in an ad for some slot machine phone game, I think about how Bill Murray's character in Lost in Translation doing advertisements is framed as basically the highest form of humiliation an actor could go through.

I do not like these He Got Us commercials. Did not know Liquid Death also sold iced tea. Didn't know HexClad was big enough to warrant a Super Bowl ad. The batteries commercial (Duracell?) was too self-referential. Tom Brady got a roast? Umm...okay? #SuperBowl

Most Superbowl commercials are planned many months in advanced. I will be more curious of the emotional tone, and hell, skin tone of next years line up.

I didn’t really watch the superbowl but I loved seeing all the men get straight up tackled and hit in the face. Plus some of the commercials were decent but some definitely looked liked brain rotted AI made junk.

Read a "Best of Superbowl Commercials" article (I don't watch football), and from the clips I saw, none could be classified as clever or even funny. They were cringe at best and completely obnoxious at worst. Throwing the equivalent of the GNP of a small country at something doesn't make it good.
