I never realized how drastic & cruel withholding SNAP funds is.

Recipients receive funds on the 1st, that’s it for the rest of the month.

So, made a donation to The Cove in Twisp, WA. Here is a link.

A little extra context on this amazing turnout. Twisp is a tiny town in the Methow Valley, the far north of WA state. 4+ hours NE of Seattle, 3+ hours NW of Spokane. In 2020, the census showed a town of 992 souls in a land area of 1.2 sq mi. Rural, remote, and showing up for the Land of the Free. 💥

I had heard that shopping was going to be difficult today due to massive crowds, but I was able to buy some wood glue at the hardware store in Twisp, Washington with no trouble at all. I just got lucky, I guess.
