Residents constantly tell me about chronic staffing issues at DPR pools, including Takoma in #Ward4.

Time for this little banger, which always raises the question for me 'why weren't people falling over themselves to release Winston between 1974 and 1979', and the answer is probably that other than Fahey's Takoma there was just a gap in the market until Windham Hill got started

Not being above the fold is a major issue. I’m in Takoma Park, MD and a sibling + several friends are furloughed. Everyone here feels it and talks about it constantly, but we’re in a “bubble” of fed employees.

We had a great Spooktacular! Takoma Community Cleanup. 12 volunteers activated, 12 bags of litter collected, lots of DDOT detritus cleared, and Sidewalk Library stocked with books and staples + enjoyed beautiful blooms and butterflies, S’mores kits, and good company.
