Day 24 of the #ALXbeercember BeerVent calendar finds @fishinnards.bsky.social & the wicker monkeys enjoying a nice bourbon barrel aged ale with nary a can of the fabled Modern S’morefare in sight. Merry Christmas & Happy New Beer, friends!

They found tiny Santa hats during their travels & seem to have gotten into the holiday spirit. Or some spirits, at any rate, because a few of them seem a little woozy and one of them is downright surly, claiming that we’re talking too loud and the Christmas tree lights are too bright. Nevertheless, they wish you all the happiest of holidays! I think. Yes. Let’s go with that. Technically they’re bottles of potions because it’s a Halloween print but I think it counts.

#ALXBeercember #23 hopefully won’t include airing grievances…in celebration of Festivus, we have Grand Hazelnut Reserve Imperial Stout from Oklahoma’s Prairie Artisan Ales. Hazelnut rather understates it; smoky and rich, with cherry-chocolate notes. Verdict is still out but leaning towards a yes.
