This is 💯 correct, IMO, having been part of the same organization when this was happening.
Being among the first interrogated and ultimately fired by DOGE, I certainly felt we were facing the business end of a right-wing conspiracy theory 🧵
DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2

LFG. #RedSox
Sonny Gray fits the profile of what they needed. Only one season guaranteed leaves room for their homegrown starters to find a spot.

A trade fills one need. Now they can (or at least should) have the money to sign Bregman and another hitter.
The Red Sox are making their first move for some much-needed starting pitching by trading for Cardinals righthander Sonny Gray, a source confirmed to the Globe.

All over my former employer. And not for good.
NEW: DOGE no longer exists as a "centralized entity," according to the head of the government’s personnel agency --- But the longstanding White House tech team Trump used to house DOGE continues to work on tech projects throughout federal agencies.

The team that was altered to house DOGE — formerly the U.S. Digital Service — is also still doing its own technology work across agencies.

Thanksgiving dinner planned, grocery shopping list drawn up, and dish preparation scheduled in a day-by-day grid. Feels a bit overwhelming until I realize how grateful we are to have a Thanksgiving celebration.

Oh hell no.
Early iterations of the Schedule F made the case that language in statute allowed the removal of civil service protections to senior officials.
Revised version leans into unitary executive theory: the civil service statute is unconstitutional. They are betting SCOTUS will go along.

Read the entire 🧵.
Absolutely no way to read this and not conclude that the Department of Justice has been deeply corrupted. And this is from a time when career lawyers were in place, pushing back against illegality. With firings and resignations, the politicization will just get worse.
