👣 Love this Bowl with Human Feet which is almost 6,000 years old! Egypt, Nile clay, ca. 3700–3450 B.C.

The bowl which has a beautiful polished surface is very similar in form to the Egyptian hieroglyph meaning "to bring."

To see this mosaic of the #Baptism of Christ in person is breathtaking. Commissioned in the 5th c. it decorates the dome of the Orthodox Baptistery in #Ravenna. Around the central medallion is a procession of the 12 apostles (Paul being the 12th!)
