i truly am a firm believer of if you want to expand your knowledge of niche anime and such, just look up anime op/end rankings from different years [ie the 90s/2000s] and screenshot/write down the shows that look interesting to you, and then either research/read reviews and go from there

I remember a decade ago I found this article that explained that anime got "weirder" as a result of the 80s bubble economy crashing in the 90s. People had less money to spend on entertainment, and so entertainment companies focused hard on subcultures that spend money

I also superrrr appreciate the diversity in the characters! For a game with 90s anime inspired visuals, there’s a fun mix of builds and basically half the cast are older than the type of characters I feel like you typically see with this type of game!! ✨
