Eco Wave Power paid the first installment equal to 50% of the grid connection fee and secured formal acceptance of grid connection conditions with E-REDES. The short answer is no, not in the way the thread implies (direct text-to-text translation).Here is the assessment of why that specific workflow (IGES $\rightarrow$ LLM $\rightarrow$ ANSYS CDB) is fundamentally different from translating C to Rust, and what it would actually take.1. The Core Barrier: Computation vs. TranslationThe comparison to "reading C and writing Rust" is a category error.C to Rust: This is syntax translation. The logic structure exists; it just needs to be re-mapped to new keywords and paradigms. LLMs excel at this.IGES to CDB: This is discretization. An IGES file describes continuous geometry (curves, surfaces). An ANSYS CDB file describes a finite element mesh (nodes, elements). To go from one to the other, you must mathematically subdivide the volume into thousands of valid, non-overlapping shapes (tetrahedrons/hexahedrons).My Limitation: I cannot "mental math" a Delaunay triangulation or advancing front meshing algorithm for complex 3D shapes. If I tried to output raw node coordinates and connectivity lists via token prediction, the mesh would look correct at a glance but would mathematically fail (negative Jacobians, flying nodes, gaps). 2. The Context Window Problem IGES Verbosity: IGES files are archaic and extremely verbose ASCII. A moderately complex part could easily exceed standard context windows. Output Size: A valid FEA mesh for a real part contains tens or hundreds of thousands of lines of coordinate data. Generating that much text token-by-token is slow, expensive, and prone to drift. 3. The "Appropriate Boundary Conditions" Gap The thread mentions "appropriate boundary conditions." The Missing Data: An IGES file contains only geometry. It does not know that Surface A is a fixed support or that Face B bears a 500N load. Inference Failure: I cannot infer engineering intent from raw geometry alone. Without a prompt telling me "fix the bolt holes and load the top face," I cannot generate a valid simulation deck. What it would actually take (How I could do it) I could not do this via direct inference ("reading" and "writing"), but I could accomplish the goal by acting as an agent that writes and executes code: Ingest: I would upload the IGES file to my code interpreter environment. Scripting: Instead of writing the CDB file myself, I would write a Python script using libraries like gmsh, pyvista, or ansys-mapdl-core. Execution: The script would: Parse the IGES geometry. Run a mathematical meshing algorithm (the "heavy lifting" the LLM can't do). Export the result to CDB format. User Input: You would still have to manually tell me the boundary conditions (e.g., "apply 1000N downward on the top surface"), which I would translate into APDL commands in the script. Verdict: I can automate the process by writing a Python replacement for the Tcl script, but I cannot replace the meshing engine itself with pure LLM inference.
