Foreground: a small wooden side table with a bamboo tray on it and to the left of the tray is a folded white cloth napkin with knife and fork on it, behind the tray is a glass of red wine (Big Beltie Cabernet Sauvignon). On the tray there is a cheeseboard with: Cheese: Orkney Norseman, Red Storm, Bleu d'Auvergne and Ossau Iraty Crab pate (Orkney crab and homemade), Orkney butter, variety of crackers and oatcakes, red grapes, strawberries, sliced cucumber, red and yellow cherry tomatoes, rocket, Palestinian dates, Queen Nocellara olives, fresh fig quartered, walnuts, pistachios, sour cream & chive pretzels, truffle crisps, red onion chutney, caramelised carrot relish and beetroot relish- the relishes in wooden measuring spoons.

Because of my timings tomorrow and the fact Sunday evening cheese is sacred, I decided to do 'Easter dinner' tonight. Slow-cooked shoulder of lamb (leftovers here I come) followed by a sugar-high inducing meringue with some fruit to try and make it seem more balanced! I love cooking for myself 🍷
Dining table with a leafy patterned tablecloth and blue woven placemat. One place set and opposite it is a bud vase with tulips in it. There's a bottle of Big Beltie cabernet sauvignon wine to the right of the vase. To the left is a yellow oval ceramic flat dish with white and black salt and pepper grinders on it. To the top right of the placemat is a full wine glass and full water glass beside that. There's a white cloth napkin to the left of the placemat and fork and knife either side of a round white dinner plate. On the plate is a delicious slow cooked Orkney shoulder of lamb (cooked with onion, garlic and rosemary 🤤) duchess potatoes (Lidl's best), carrots, broccoli and I'd almost rather not mention the Yorkshire puddings (they didn't rise and then I overcooked them) with a lovely onion and garlic based gravy made from scratch with the juices from the lamb. Dining table with a leafy patterned tablecloth and blue woven placemat. One place set and opposite it is a bud vase with tulips in it. To the top right of the placemat is a full wine glass and full water glass beside that. On the placemat is a large bowl (think deep soup bowl) full of broken up meringue, strawberries, raspberries and a good amount of double cream- the fruit was all reduced in Tesco today!
