titanium might be a problem because rigidity but the implantable bioplastics might work.

the big downside is regardless of what's there, it might scar in a way that just makes it's effect permanent,

#Bioplasticsweek-Day2: Feedstocks Behind Bioplastics 🌱

Today, bioplastics are commonly made from sugar and carbohydrate-rich plants, such as corn, wheat or sugar beet. Currently, these agricultural crops and others can be used to efficiently produce bioplastic, using limited land and solid yields.

It shouldn't be a shortage of corn, but various industries using it makes its production spreading thin. Other than food consumption:
ethanol, live stock feed (although this particular use is mostly byproduct from distillers), hygiene products, medications, bioplastics, adhesives, Alcohol, etc

Farming is more than food

From the fibers of the silphie plant, we can make bioplastics, for window frames or trays.
Combined with an electric, zero-emission tractor farming becomes a key player in the circular economy.

🌱 It’s #BioplasticsWeek2025!

This week, we're joining the Plastics Industry Association and other stakeholders to highlight bioplastics, their environmental benefits, and their crucial role in advancing a circular economy.

We define bioplastics as #biobased, #biodegradable, or both.

🌱 Bioplàstics d’algues 🌱
Algunes startups produeixen envasos i utensilis biodegradables a partir d’algues marines. Es descomponen en setmanes i podrien reduir milions de tones de plàstics contaminants. Una revolució verda i blava que naix del mar! 🌊🍃 #Biodegradable #Sostenibilitat #Ciència #STEM

“Bioplastics” can mean many things:

Two key distinctions:
🔹 Biodegradable vs. non-biodegradable
🔹 Made from biological vs. fossil sources

Yes — some “bioplastics” are still fossil-based, and some aren’t biodegradable.

Surprisingly, non-biodegradable biobased ones may be greener right now.
