The Mamdani discourse is a lot, but it reflects a general lack of Democratic leadership elsewhere.

With an inspiring Democratic president, powerful leaders in the House and Senate and a charismatic DNC chair, there wouldn't be such focus on the New York City mayor. We don't have any of the former.
Re Mamdani discourse I know some folks will not like hearing this but feels like the convo is becoming way too saturated. I really appreciate this guy and am marveling his win. And, I love New York but the world doesn't revolve around it.

How many more think pieces we will have to read? ...

Every Trump admin lawyer involved must be disbarred at the earliest opportunity
This is called “chain refoulment” and it’s illegal under both U.S. and international law. And the State Department and ICE know very well what Ghana is doing and simply don’t care.
ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

So my pie take is there are no bad pies, but some pies have to be eaten a certain way:

1. Pecan: Always good

2. Fruit: Must be homemade. Otherwise bad.

3. Pumpkin: Best eaten cold at 7 am standing over a sink before everyone wakes up
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

It’s so funny to see people ANALYZE why Trump fawned over Zohran Mamdani and it’s literally because he’s an old man who watches news TV all day and the man from the TV came to see him which was very exciting

This should be a major scandal. The Blaze falsely reported that a former U.S. Capitol Police officer was the Jan. 6th pipe bomber. But it wasn’t just another miss by conservative media promoting conspiracies.

Someone in US intel - at ODNI - was promoting it:

Frankly, NYT political journalists are perverts of a sort
Not only is the NYT carrying water for Trump while he’s in office, they’re trying to help him on the way out too
“Donald Trump, well on his way to becoming the most corrupt president in American history, will almost certainly escape criminal prosecution after leaving office,” writes Thomas Edsall.

Every live BBC guest now has one and only one mission
NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

New piece:

Trump’s Fury at BBC Gets Unnerving Results with Pro-MAGA Edit Stunner
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?
