daggerfall is just such a comfy freakin game ughghgh i love it so much!! i've been traveling purely thru player controlled fast travel and following the roads when theyre available, only stopping when i see a point of interest or when i need to camp for the night, its such a lovely experience 😭
Daggerfall Unity the roads outside of the city gates to Kirkwold. Even outside of the city walls there are some homes and business and inns, making the approach to the city even more welcoming. There's patches of snow on the grass by the cobblestone roads, and a bright blue sky hangs above Daggerfall Unity on my way to another town, i stopped just off to the side of the road to camp for the night. there is a warm campfire in front of a small tent in the snow, with a forest beginning right behind and a clear night sky full of stars above Daggerfall Unity an inn sits in a clearing of a snowy forest, next to a small pond with a wooden bridge going over it. there are plenty of trees on either side of the inn Daggerfall Unity a cloudy, rainy day in the middle of the woods. the ruins of an old manor lay strewn about in a clearing, a small river cutting thru the field to the right

Mountain: Now then, if you are finished ogling my figure, why don't we warm you up, hm? Aus: A-Are you certain? Mountain: If I was not certain, I would not propose the idea to you. You are cold, I am not. We do not have spare cloth. If this does not help, I shall bring you back to Ishgard to warm up better. Now come, the wind is letting up. Aus: If... you insist.

I love watching the snow fall through the lamplight on nights like this. Every once and a while a gust of wind will swirl the snow into patterns that mesmerize me the same way a campfire or the ocean does.
