We celebrated New Year with friends and played some DOA6. Surprisingly, I lost only to my spouse 2-3 times, despite everyone playing several rounds against me.
We are all not huge fighting game players, but it was still nice to be better than everyone else at my favorite fighting game series.😅

LLM extractivism of source material at train time mirrored in extractivism of the user's own reading of the "context" at inference time, ironically celebrated with jokes about squandering that recouped time on social media etc, yet it's still worth doing 'rework' of said context for your own benefit

Día de Reyes (Epiphany in English) actually was on January 6, but we celebrated yesterday since we're done with working for the week. It's the Christian day celebrating when Three Kings (or Magi) visited the baby Jesus. Candlemas is 40 days after Jesus was presented in the Temple

The Right will celebrate the murder of Renee Good and justify it because 'the Left celebrated the killing of Charlie Kirk'. (Centrists will stand by and say they can't tell the two apart.)

The logic is so profoundly broken. Charlie Kirk made millions glorifying murder and public executions.

Historian David Puglia: “The Hon is such a potent image because it reflects a previously established B'more identity: a quirky, kitschy & down-to-earth vibe." www.bbc.co.uk/travel/artic...

Ahoy there me hearties. It's primidi 21 Nivôse in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. Let's reflect on the dire music scene at the time of the Revolution, seeing as the only instrument celebrated was the crumhorn. Hardly going to get the goths dancing. We'll correct that & celebrate the cello.

Trump has shown his character repeatedly, so I’d not consider him like a 79 year old who has a sense of decency, hasn’t been indulged in his depravity for all of their life and isn’t celebrated and given power to be his worst by American voters. He’s an evil greedy narcissist goblin.
