here's some photocopies of pencil drawn special FX keys I did for a show 1 of 1999's Megababies. It was just a short stint at Montreal's Cinégroupe. The director had forgotten to hire an FX designer and needed someone short notice. He thought I'd be the perfect fit for the job.

Mega Babies is an animated television series created by the brothers Christian and Yvon Tremblay, who previously had made the Hanna-Barbera show SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. It is produced by CinéGroupe and Landmark Entertainment Group for Sony Wonder. It was first broadcast on Sky One in the UK on 17 April 2000. The show is about a trio of mutant babies who fight off evil monsters and aliens. Their names are Meg, Derrick and Buck and their caregiver's name is Nurse Lazlo. The show takes place in Your City, USA. After their birth, they were brought to an orphanage. When the entire Solar System aligned itself, the babies and their nurse were struck by lightning. The babies were given super strength and other super powers, and Nurse Lazlo's I.Q. rose. Voice cast includes Sonja Ball, Dean Hagopian, Jaclyn Linetsky, Bronwen Mantel, Laura Teasdale, Arthur Holden, Danny Brochu, Richard Dumont, John Stocker, Eleanor Noble, James Pidgeon, Michel Perron and Terrence Scammell. Angela Anaconda is a Canadian animated children's television series created by Joanna Ferrone and Sue Rose that originally aired in the UK on Cartoon Network UK from 17 April 2000. 65 episodes were produced. The show focuses on the adventures of an eight-year-old girl named Angela in the fictional town of Tapwater Springs. Other characters include Angela's three best friends and several antagonists. The primary antagonist is Nanette Manoir. The show features cutout animation, in which characters are created using black-and-white photographs. The production studio, C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures, used Elastic Reality software to superimpose models' faces onto computer-generated bodies and backgrounds. The voice cast includes Victor Knight, Sue Rose, Al Mukadam, Bryn McAuley, Ruby Smith-Merovitz, Annick Obonsawin, Richard Binsley, Edward Glen, Olivia Garratt, Rob Tinkler, Allegra Fulton, Rob Smith, Diego Matamoros, Linda Kash, Cara Pifko, Julie Lemieux, Juan Chioran, Ron Rubin and Kevin Duhaney. A History of Britain is a documentary series written and presented by Simon Schama. It was broadcast on BBC One from 30 September 2000 to 18 June 2002. 3 series totalling 15 episodes were made. A study of the history of the British Isles, each of the 15 episodes allows Schama to examine a particular period and tell of its events in his own style. Schama was assisted by composer John Harle, whose work was augmented by vocal soloists such as Emma Kirkby and Lucie Skeaping; and readings from actors, including Lindsay Duncan, Michael Kitchen, Christian Rodska, Samuel West and David Threlfall. A BBC production in association with The History Channel. The Kids from Room 402 is an animated series produced by CinéGroupe and Saban Entertainment. It made its UK television debut on Channel 4 from 30 September 2000. 2 seasons totalling 52 animations were made though it is unclear how many were shown in the UK. The series is focused primarily on a group of elementary school students. Miss Graves, their teacher, is usually shown as an interlocutor in the issues and injustices that are inflicted upon the students, whether the dilemmas are internal or external. Each episode usually ends with a substantiated moral or lesson resulting from such aforementioned situations. The series is based on the book Gracie Graves and the Kids from Room 402 by Betty & Michael Paraskevas, published in 1995. The voice cast includes Mindy Cohn, Tara Strong, Spencer Klein, Andrew Lawrence, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Bryton McClure, Christopher Marquette, April Winchell and Rodger Bumpass. A Saban Entertainment and CinéGroup co-production. Black Books is a sitcom that was broadcast on Channel 4 from 29 September 2000 to 15 April 2004. 3 series totalling 18 episodes are made. Bernard Black is the owner of Black Books, a small London bookshop. The series revolves around the lives of Bernard, Manny and Fran. Bernard's persona of a grouchy and misanthropic shopkeeper is a central theme; he has a hatred of the outside world and all the people who inhabit it, except for his best friend, Fran, who initially runs a trendy bric-a-brac shop, Nifty Gifty, next door to the bookshop. Bernard displays little interest or knowledge in retail and actively avoids having to interact with anyone, even inside his shop. He would often rather pass up on a sale than have to engage in human interaction to make one. Starring Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig. Guest stars included Keith Allen, Rob Brydon, Annette Crosbie, Lucy Davis, Olivia Colman and Peter Serafinowicz. A Big Talk Production in association with Channel 4.
