If you really know your stuff you could probably just extract sensor>XYZ matrices out of a raw file, Adobe DNG converter, dcraw, or RawTherapee for that camera model, but I found it even cooler to do it with a chart, plus then it accommodates the lens and behaviors in video modes.

The modern "dcraw" tool actually gives pretty decent looking photos (even if only 2 megapixels). Much better than DCS Photo Desk which seems to give quite a bit of purple colour fringing.

Went to all the trouble of getting the Kodak DCS Photo Desk software to work under Windows 11 and it just outputs worse files than dcraw anyway.

So the bug I had introduced is that I had simplified this dcraw code wrong:

for (c=0; c < 256; c++) {
uint16 tmp = (8-s) << 8 | c >> s << s | 1 << (s-1);
huff[18][c] = tmp & 0xFF;
}
I originally replaced it with tmp = 1284 | c
but it should have been tmp = (c << 3) + 4
I have no excuse […]

але гуй/флоу йому розробляли люди що все життя проявляли равки в терміналі через dcraw :)
тому й не дуже популярний

yes, for Windows there's an older tool that still works called RawDrop that can easily convert them; or you can use dcraw on the command line

If anyone ever searches for this, on modern Windows you can open QTK files from Apple QuickTake 100 and 150 and convert them to TIFF with this version of DCRAW #QuickTake

I shoot RAWs with exposure bracketing on my phone. I don't know why, but in many programs EXP0 always looks almost the same as EXP1.
Also, the manufacturer stores a bit weird color matrix, resulting in a slightly pinker image.
