New research from the U.S. Forest Service found elm zigzag sawfly can feed on Japanese zelkova, an ornamental tree previously thought to be resistant. Observations in Ohio confirmed larvae, pupation and adult emergence.

'Tis the season for Ophiocordyceps in the Florida scrub, and Camponotus floridanus seems to get the worst of it. So many blades of grass featured these unfortunate little fungus gardens at the tips.
