SEND day of action in Stafford today, nearly 130 pairs of shoes representing just a fraction of the children who have been failed by the current SEND system. Some heartbreaking stories and many of our children still not getting the education they deserve and are entitled to.

To fight now, yes, because it’s an attempt to restore balance.
In the long run, it needs to end. It reduces people down to a fraction of a person by giving them a fraction of a vote at best, what slaveholders did to slaves.
And if tradition is your best reason for doing something, rethink that.

Just like books or albums. If I really like it, I want to revisit it to recapture even a fraction of that feeling again (and also, critic brain activated, unpack it to better understand how/why it makes me feel that way)

The fraction of funds devoted to forward funding exceeded 0.1 (10%) for fiscal years 2015-2023. It then dropped to ~5% in fiscal year 2024 before increasing to ~7% in fiscal year 2025.

With this definition, it is straightforward to quantify the amount of forward funding by fiscal year.
The amount of forward funding as a fraction of the total grant funding for 2015-2025 shows the trend.

Yes of course incarceration works.
A tiny fraction of the population commits the majority of crime.
Longer sentences, rather than non-custodial punishments and early release, keep them where they can do no harm for longer.
Better policing would obviously help too.

That is consistently right where his constant support is, it has never dropped below that. I think the 37% is MAGA with maybe a tiny fraction of it being hopelessly ignorant people who don't know what the hell is going on. It's annoying, and one wonders at what point it blows up.

Insecurity, homelessness, hunger, and unemployment are not bugs in the capitalist system they are a feature. Fear of destitution is key to keeping people slaving away for shit wages. Ending hunger and homelessness in the US would be cheap. But your political & corporate masters will not have it! ☠️

Yeah, it’s nuts. Splatoon numbers would be lower because of the nature of it being a team game, but still. A fraction of that would be monumental.
Also to mention for comparison sake, Pokemon regionals happen multiple times a month. These numbers are not one-off deals.

So going through insurance re-enrollment and just realized that the raw amount me and my employer are paying for my family insurance is almost 50% of my yearly pay. Granted I only pay a small fraction of that, but if I were to buy it outright it would cost that much.

A large fraction of that £85 billion is, reportedly, debt those companies have taken on and then passed through as dividends, while also paying interest back for years to the crooked lenders.
