wow. with still months to go in Wales, green party might go from zero seats to being part of a governing coalition.
Great progress in new poll for Wales.

Absolutely no complacency though. We're campaigning for every vote between now and May 7th.

Wales needs rent controls, nationalised water and funded public services. To do that, Wales needs to vote Green.

“It’s nonsensical to ever suggest the Green Party doesn’t care about the environment. What has changed is the way we talk about it. It’s just that the first thing that comes out of my mouth is always about bills and cost of living.” www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
Zack Polanski: You can fly, drive, eat meat and still be green
The leader of the Greens wants to widen his party’s appeal and has triggered a surge in membership since his election

Or the green party?

We have a similar issue in the UK, our Labour Party used to be socialist but is now centre right/authoritarian. The old members are leaving in droves for a resurgent Green party that will be gaining more votes. I understand socialism as a concept is a hard sell in the US, but what is the alternative

... Labour voter, I would consider tactically voting for the LibDems or the Greens. Now, as a Green Party member, I would look to the LibDems or an independent. In Wales, I'd vote Plaid Cymru tactically, or the SNP in Scotland.

As I said earlier, Labour - most adjacent to the Tories few of whom...

It's only when a Green Party has a space to stand for more broad-based social/leftist policy that they really have a chance to reach far, and that's what looks to be happening in the UK. They could establish themselves as the main left tendency but this is all Labour's fuck-up.

"The political landscape has changed a great deal over the last year or so .... If there were elections, there would be a different picture and the public deserve to be able to vote for that."

I hope the
Green Party do well in Wales, but personally I hope Plaid Cymru win, have a referendum and leave the UK.
Same for Scotland, SNP win and break up the UK.

Perhaps you could get the ‘Bristol Green Party Letter Writing Department’ to send something to your leader Zack Polanski and ask him to come off twitter*?

Jill Stein ONLY shows up during presidential elections. The Green Party is wholly unserious, been around 40 years and can't even win at the state and local levels.

I get what you mean but I think a Green / Lib Dem / Labour coalition will be making policy after the next election and a Labour party not led by Starmer and his right wing pals.

Desperate times.

That's it. I've had enough.

Starmer is a traitor to world peace, the Labour Party, common decency and Europe as a whole.

He has 100% lost Labour my vote now.

Green or Libdem it is.
January 13, 2026 at 5:29 PM
No point debating the arrogant prick. Racist, imperialist and anti-working class - that’s the Labour Party. Do yourself a favour, don’t waste your time on them - they’ll be history soon.

Btw, I’m neither a Green Party member or supporter but I do recognise wankers when I see them!
