There's no hardstop for them on the way down, but they'll still plant anchors to try and pull themselves back up if need be.

Which, sidenote, was what really unlocked the Kupyansk offensive, because Eastern MD was previously in theater and those forces almost certainly either slow down or hardstop the Ukrainian breakthrough attempt in Kharkiv oblast.

My main problem with it, that still isn't resolved as far as I see, is none of these models can make anything truly coherent, only pretty looking for a max of several seconds before a cut.

Amen! I have been reading all my life. Huge fan of Stephen King, Dan Simmons, Alastair Reynolds, and China Mieville. And yet, I STILL barely understand what ostensibly, lugubrious, or 'a rueful smile' mean. Or why authors love saying "Not unkindly" And... we ARE better. Hardstop.
