How fascinating! It might interest you to know the existence of an additional planet is entirely plausible, if you look at the physics of our solar system. It would just have to be incredibly far out there - farther than Hearthian ships would be able to travel.

learning how to draw the Outer Wilds Hearthian astronauts. They have such iconic designs, it's kinda hard for me to grasp all the details. My perfectionist brain wants to get them as accurate as possible while my cartoonist brain just keeps screaming "simplify"

Fun fact about my female hearthian OC abella: if a fellow hearthian tries to impress or "flirt" with her, she just rejects their mating ritual cuz she's only interested in a partner who understands and respects the way she is. BUT....but, if a fellow hearthian tries to flirt with her more and ignore

oh it's this again. so i left a few things unfinished with the hearthian lander. there's meant to be struts extending from the cockpit canopy to the main body, but the parts that came with the model are these wierd floppy bits that sag and barely adhere to glue

Third, pointing to gendered languages like Spanish is fundamentally flawed. Like, the Outer Wilds devs have confirmed that the hearthians are an agender alien race.
However, when localizing it to Polish they just gave them all male pronouns because they didn't want to make neos.
