The Undercrank Productions restoration of "Father Was a Loafer" with Billie Ritchie will screen at the Pordenone silent film festival. My new blog post (in my comment below) has the scoop! This film was part of our 2018 Alice Howell homevid project.

In '74 there was no homevid so it's plausible that unlike SERPICO or other DDL pickups, when tape became an option, Paramount didn't add those rights to their US grip of TOUGH GUYS. Perhaps Stax demanded big $ to reclear the Hayes songs, they balked, and let DDL keep that option.
