Realistically i don’t see how Larian themselves will do better than BG3. Combat-wise, i can see it because Divinity combat has more layers but overall BG3 is just so advanced in terms of itemization, interaction with the world and npcs as well as meaningful choice & consequence.

I played the demo of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era.
I am not quite sure yet what to think. On one hand, it is a very pretty game and it feels so good to gather things in the world. Levelling up your hero feels impactful and amazing. Itemization is great. However, it feels extremely cluttered

Da spielt man mal ein Jahr kein Diablo IV mehr und dann muss man erst mal 5 Stunden lang nachlesen welche Änderungen es seitdem gab und dann 4 Tage den Charakter neu fürs Endgame einrichten. Wer es am schwersten hat, dürfte klar sein.

every new Thing i get in BL4 is convincing me that this game has solved the problem of breastmilk rolls (wherein 'rolls' on a gun tend to be blanket buffs to specific, often useless stats) entirely, and has the best itemization in the genre

Maybe you can change this (by bringing everyone at the table, transparently, not through threats of financial ruin and after saying this is to wreck universities’ DEI). But I strongly doubt that by demanding itemization you’d do much more than increase bureaucracy and make compliance arbitrary.

Kevin went on to experiment with #FFXIV for a time. During his play he often lamented how items were meaningless because of item level, an MMO downfall since the Gear Score addon in WOTLK. On #VanillaWoW : "Itemization used a different philosophy back in the day" youtu.be/gMD-_Jg7HnE A must watch.

While the default written form should be an table of contents, and then a conventional legal outline form, they should make an electronic viewer to change the itemization format easily based on various referencing factors, such as how the uniform code is changed, cost, or benefit.
