I had one of these as a kid (the redhead in the bottom right) and she was cute as hell, 90% sure her hair was kanekalon, but she was a BITCH to dress or undress and didnt work well with other dolls, so she didnt get played with a lot. Also according to my mom they were expensive as hell lmaoo
#dollsky today’s obscure doll is the Only Hearts Club dolls. They had soft bodies and hard heads and hands and were sort of marketed as a more “basic” alternative to your average fashion doll like Bratz or Barbie (1/7)

I was a character during fashion school. I wore Afro wigs, Afro weaves, yarn dreads, kanekalon hair … anything to have a stylish presentation.
I had hair that grew up to 5 inches but I realized it was easy to only wear it as a hightop and from there, I added hair to make my whole head full. 🤣

I used an entire skein, but maybe could have gotten by with only 2/3 or 1/2. Really not a lot of mane length on this pattern. But it is nice and thick!

The way kanekalon leads to all kinds of health problems, you wouldn’t find me paying 300 cents for braids, let alone $300.

I also want to redo my bubble braids. This was so heavy (it was long) and this is when i perfected the bubble size. I need kinkier hair next time. This kanekalon was not doing it 🤣

I hate the fact that he tried to use the hair he had left to recreate a hairline. Or is that some kanekalon hair that he just glued on his scalp to make that DIY hairline??? I need answers 😭

We lost power for 24hrs during con crunch and I had to boil water to use the steam to style the wig hair in my helmet just like how they styled their kanekalon in the middle ages
