Hekate picking up Ilina at the beginning of the year is basically the only thing that got them to the finals. Sure she needed time to adjust but let's be honest you think Manya would have been enough?

As a side-conversation about this. The things that characters do safely and how they handle those situations with different people in Hekate's Call is very deliberate. Krystyn is far more careful with Ilina than she is with Manya, for instance. Ilina doesn't black boots for just anyone.
I find it kind of odd whenever I see opinions bubble to the surface that I'm a scary domme because of things in Hekate's Call. The safety conscious ashtray scene and Ilina being aware of gunplay safety. The "writer must have known how to do this in order to write about it" idea. And like, I guess?

I mentioned Orchid being able to control Manya's augments including her chemical factory augments and I was smacked in the face with "party-drug factory hucow Manya" and sometimes I question why I'm the one writing Hekate when people have such deeply fascinating and incredible ideas.

Canonically Manya would have completed at least 3 games. But since I used her to portray my personal experience while defending Game Pass, I will do it again while saying why that service didn't work for me in real life. I was gonna say "It may work for others though", but nowadays: nah.
