I have a few good moles. I could clean up on Molesky.

Reading so far this month: finished an advance reading copy of Drew Hayden Taylor’s new novel, Cold (very interesting; still processing) and am reading This Gulf of Fire by Mark Molesky (1755 Lisbon earthquake), which dovetails nicely with The Wager by David Grann (18th-cen shipwreck and mutiny).

So excited about my first cli-fi essay! Many thanks to Debra Rosenthal and Jason Molesky for including it in this wonderful new collection! It's called: "Settler Apocalypses: Race, Class, and the Erasure of Indigenous Resilience in Alaskan Cli-Fi."

Great question. I'm afraid I dont know of much literature on this (not my specialization). Molesky discusses briefly in Gulf of Fire. But I've spoken to local historians while on research in Lisbon. One, for ex, described "the earthquake problem" while discussing availability of sources. Fascinating

We had a great talk from Sean Molesky of Polytechnique Montreal showing there is a systematic way to find performance bounds for inverse design. ie how to know you are doing well with your design (and when you’re done rewriting your code to go faster!).
