Especially the Nisqually Tribe’s Emerald Queen Casino looming over I-5 next to Tacoma. I think the only time I’ve ever been in one was to see Al Green years ago 🤔(2/2)

Awesome! Yes, I grew up off College Street, so Mountain View Elem/Komachin/NTHS. Been in Seattle for a long time now, but South Sound is home! Nisqually area is so beautiful.

I know Rainer & St Helen’s have been rumbling some as well.. just a reminder we do live in earthquake country..
My wife grew up in LA. There are days she calls “ earthquake weather”.
I was working in pioneer Square, next to the viaduct when the Nisqually quake hit scary.

I don’t think I could ever get tired of seeing them. We live really close to Nisqually wildlife refuge and believe it or not, we’ve never been. I’ve lived close myself most of my life. Never once been there. Maybe before I return to work we will go.

I saw there was a small earthquake, 3.0 over by gorst on the peninsula on the 24th as well. little bit concerned about quake activity in Wa. Was here during the Nisqually shake.

Went birding today with @sapphireia.bsky.social @8bitfusion.bsky.social and @kahlium.bsky.social at Nisqually! So many cool birds and I even convinced the staff to open the gift shop just for me!!! (I REALLY WANTED A STICKER AND IT WAS CLOSED)
