I also want to really talk about “this is how it has always been done” doesn’t mean it is right but so much friction comes in either socially or mechanically to do the “right”. And in how many settings you have to “earn” the way to declare how things should be done if you’re a nondominant voice

If the switch die prevailed, I would put the added stitch on the nondominant needle, and flip the circular work so i could knit the difference in the opposite direction with the working yarn in my dominant hand. I’m a righty but not everyone is.
