It is an old page, which reads: Tear 6 Entity: The Zipper Witch An entity in association of Gloria Cove. Local mythology claims when the rainy season hits, a witch can be seen after midnight. ( There is a drawing of an odd looking woman wrapped in bandages, in the dark and rain. There are crystals at her feet. ) The Zipper Witch is known to attack things out of place without fail. She is used to frighten children to stay close to home, as flooding and rain makes the woods she lurks dangerous. Whatever you do, DO NOT LOOK AT HER BACK. An old page, which transcribes: THE BACK To know you are dealing with the Zipper Witch, is the danger of her back. She will move in a way to hide it, and will attack those who glimpse at it. ( There is a drawing of a naked woman with her back turned to the front, showing symbols and a castle line on her spine. She is in the dark and rain. ) Within mythology, her back is a stitched seal in cryptic writing, accompanied with a castle line along the spine. When the seal breaks, that castle line splits in half like a zipper, giving the cryptid its identification. The Zipper on her back is capable of shuttering despite being sealed. The reaction is that of three: Flustered, a spine chill, and that of aggression. The shifting will sound like a wind chime, or seashells rubbing together. ( There is a tiny image of seashells in the bottom right corner. ) An old page, which transcribes: The Shell The body, known as a 'Shell', seems to be made of moon dust, and is hollow in nature. The shell is used to lure humans closer for inspection. Her true form is trapped inside, and it is a mass of tentacles, bone and crystal. When she deems a human as a threat, she will break the seal, shedding the shell and maul them to death. ( There is an image of a woman slumped over in the dark rain, and out of her back are skeleton arms, tentacles, and small crystals. Her eyes are round and vacant, and her arms and legs are covered in scales, as if crystalized. ) All organic parts outside of the shell itself (hair, tongue, etc.) are camouflaged tentacles, and can be returned to form if the witch is comfortable, or drenched in salt water. ( There is an image of a mouth, the tongue sticking out. It is a curled tentacle, and there is an arrow pointing to it. The description says 'Its blue!' ) The Moon dust skin can crystalize when threatened, which can crystalize what it touches. It is an old page, that transcribes: THE SHELL pt. 2 When the shell is sealed, only hunting senses are available. Strong sight and hearing are heightened, where taste, smell and touch are dulled. ( There is a drawing of a woman's face half-way in water, up to her nose. It is dark and rainy, her hair are octopus tentacles. ) When the seal breaks, all senses that were severely dampened during the sealed period, and the Zipper Witch will be blind. ( This is understood that she gains her senses back, at the cost of no longer being able to see. What is not stated here, is that all sensitivity she has missed, will hit all at once. ) If you cannot identify the shell from her back, you can focus on what the witch allows you to interact with. If you can get close enough to the Zipper Witch, is the fact she has eyes like a corpse. Her skin is cold, its chill taking the warmth it comes in contact with. The internal temperature of the Zipper Witch is a different story. It runs feverishly hot, due to a large mass cramped into such a small space, for reasons unknown. (There is a drawing of an octopus tentacle at the bottom of the page.)

An absolute abomination. I know alt text is appreciated but this is the kind of stuff that would take fifteen minutes to describe. A sixteen-way pretzel of nightmarish impossible anatomy. First is the Manuncubus, a latex demoness; then is Spice E. who has a green pepper for a nose; then is an as-of-yet unnamed lady who vaguely resembles a stylized jackal, dressed like a police officer of sorts; after that on the bottom row, there is Crystal Beth whose head is a pink crystal with smaller crystals hanging off like hair; next to her is Ricci, an Australian lizard girl with a love for rubber and retro tech & sci-fi; then the protagonist of the game Monomoon; and finally Suzie from Deltarune. An unfinished comic of my magic mercenary character Noelle, or Nemikro, with her flying skull friend Folekroth. They have landed in (proverbial) hot water; thus Nemikro makes use of Folekroth's magic to transform herself into a weasel and run away from a demonic guard. A comic of my characters Teri the autumn leaf and Slim the skeleton, based on a scene from BornLosersGaming's Deltarune playthrough. Slim is trying to read a difficult word and having a big amount of trouble with it. Teri, for their part, helps along a bit and Slim seems to get the word correctly-- but when he tries it again, Slim gets annoyed and dares Teri to say it correctly herself.

i love all the Ancient Greek/Roman mythology shit in Succession. Argestes, cyclops references, Rhea, Oedipus references, Coriolanus, Tacitus, Roman/Romulus, in this episode they're at "Hotel Clio"; it's so on the nose how Olympian this drama is with all these high-society figures and their foibles.

I’m have to admit that I wanted to punch someone in the nose today. I didn’t, but I was unkind, which dismays me. A woman at my book club is always a grinch and center of attention. She said that anyone who knows Greek mythology would like Clytemnestra. I hated it but know my myths. I pushed back.

Yea, I took inspiration from David Bowie’s album art from ‘Low.’ ‘Diamond Dogs’ might also have been good inspiration, though a bit on the nose.

I found the idea that Christ was an Engineer and his crucifixion was what damned us while too on the nose still an intriguing idea, as it fits the themes around humanity's hubris and constant usage of mythology to make us look as good as possible.

45 - Efnisien from the Mabinogi. Yeah I know he kills and maims animals and burns his own kid nephew alive in a fire, he's a wrong un. I don't love him. But he's a character I grew up with in various forms (mythology, kids books like The Snow Spider by Jenni Nimmo) and he's fascinated me forever.
Chicken Fruit Studio's rendition of Efnisien for The CBBC adaptation of Jenni Nimmo's novel The Snow Spider, based on the book and also the live action children's series. Efnisien is dressed like a fictional Viking more than a British chieftain, with a horned helmet with a nose guard, and a thick fur pelt with armour. His hair is thick and tangled but you can't really tell what's hair and what's fur. His eye sockets are empty and glowing yellow-gold, and so are the horizontal scars over his left eye (the viewer's right). He is snarling, baring crooked, rotten teeth, and drooling out of the corner of his mouth into his beard.
