I had no idea what a many-colored rush tyrant looked like but the #BirbFest2026 prompt called for one on Day 2. (I know this is the 3rd day of the year and my 1st bird.)

It's fun even if it's not accurate on a postcard-size paper. 😀

A self portrait where I'm missing the top of my skull and have been gutted with my right arm amputated, bruises mark the arms and string is coming undone along the area the body has been cut in half and gutted. Representing the illnesses I've grown up with and the way i feel people only see me for a shell they can use, touch, disassemble and throw away once broken and irreparable my skills as an artist mean nothing and my passions and love and wants to talk of them mean nothing and are often a point of contention. I wouldn't even deem myself attractive but this body is all people ever seem to want regardless of my consent to give it or not.

My art piece, a person missing a hand, drawn from the upper abdomen to the head. The head is a little large like a child's and the body thin and slightly bloated as if they are malnourished. The colors are yellow orange and brown to mix and be reminiscent to the medication that inspired the piece, methotrexate.
